Elm Coffee Roasters

Seattle remains one of my favorite cities to wander. Whether it's the heart of the city or one of the nearby suburbs, the city is full of little curious nooks and unique small businesses to explore.

Naturally, coffee shops remain the top thing I seek out in Seattle, and the last time I was in the city I was able to stop by Elm Coffee Roasters, an operation I've long desired to visit. The exterior of the shop is light stone with giant windows, opening up inside into a warm, large space full of happy patrons and natural light.

As for my coffee that day, I ordered an espresso of a single origin Colombia and a drip coffee from Ethiopia. The espresso, pulled short/medium with brown crema, smacked of tangerine, cocoa, passion fruit, lemon candy and cream soda, proving toothy and bright. The drip coffee also made out to be a delicious infusion, with smooth notes of nectarine, chocolate, white wine, corn cake and hibiscus tea.

After hanging out for a little bit, the city streets began to beckon and I headed out to do some more wandering. If you happen to be in Seattle, definitely check out Elm Coffee Roasters for some great coffees.
