Sibling Coffee Roasters

Reading about Harpers Ferry in history books always had me curious about checking out the area, but since it was a bit far for a day trip, I never made it out. Then this past year, my son got his free national park pass in 4th grade and suddenly free park admission motivated my family and I to head over.

But before we traversed the crowded streets of Harpers Ferry, we passed it by and headed to Charles Town, a pretty gem of a boro with rumor of a good coffee establishment. Named Sibling Coffee Roasters, their cafe sits right on the main street in a cozy shop full of old wood paneling, brick walls and various wares.

As for coffee, I ordered up an espresso of their BCT blend and a drip coffee of an Ethiopian single origin. The espresso, pulled short/medium with brown crema, smacked of chocolate milk, cherries, apple, pound cake, sourdough and a little lemon zest, proving multifaceted and delicious. The drip coffee also made for a pleasant brew, with bright notes akin to lemon and blueberry,  and sweet flavors of whole milk and fresh bread.

Sadly, I had not long to sit so after ingesting my drinks, the family and I headed back to Harpers Ferry and explored the various sights. Thus if you happen to be in the area and looking for good coffee, swing by Sibling and give them a whirl.
