Z Vault

Subject: Z Vault
Location: Bel Air, MD
WiFi?: yes
Rating: 6+ [see key]

Most people think you have to head to California to visit Bel Air, yet if you live east of the Mississippi you can just head over to Maryland. Located in about 45 minutes northwest of Baltimore, I had often passed the city but never made a stop until recently.  Fortunately, my visit made a perfect opportunity to stop at a local establishment called Z Vault.

Situated in an old bank complete with drive-thru, Z Vault has an elegant interior complete with stone fixtures and furniture. The counter is long and while the interior was still in flux (per Covid) while I visited, there was a lot of exterior options to compensate.

As for coffee they serve Caffe Luxxe out of California, a coffee establishment I had visited long ago and found delightful. For the espresso I had their Montenegro, pulled short/medium with brown crema, the infusion smacked of dark chocolate, cream, blood orange, sea salt and spinach. The drip proved similarly delicious, with notes of asian pear, Hawaiian roll, grapes, cream cheese and vanilla, in a sweet and balanced brew.

While I would have loved to hang out and drink it all in, I had to be on my way. If you seek good coffee with a flare of So Cal, check out Z Vault.

These wonderful folks made this visit possible in part. Make sure to check them out!
