Fourtillfour

Car aficionados love coffee, so it's only natural that Scottsdale, with its rust-free climate, would have a car-focused coffee establishment. Opened in 2016, Fourtillfour is a cozy garage-like coffee shop that not only boasts a superb patio, but also hosts monthly porsche nights as well as a similar night for off-roading vehicles.

I was fortunate enough to have a spare chunk of time one morning, so I ventured over to check out the place. The day sizzled a little toastier than normal, so the garage door had to be down, but even still the outside and inside space jived well together. Inside, the space is purposefully spartan with car paraphernalia hung on the walls and a beautiful wood bar standing center stage in the back.

As for coffee, they were serving Verve so I ordered up an espresso of Street Level and an aeropress of a single origin Honduras. The espresso, pulled short with brown crema, smacked of lime, milk, chocolate, mineral water, root beer and black tea, proving super sweet and pleasantly smooth. The Honduras also did not disappoint, with notes of mango, elderberry, dulce de leche, romaine, passion fruit and hibiscus, making for an excellent blend of creamy and fruity flavors.

While I love my northeastern climate with all four seasons (including winter), I really loved the idea of having such a beautiful patio to regularly relax on while sipping carefully-crafted espresso. If you happen to be anywhere near Scottsdale, definitely check out the lovely digs and great coffee of Fourtillfour.

These wonderful folks made this visit possible in part. Make sure to check them out!
