Terra Cafe

Many college towns have a unique feeling, but none like Morgantown. Given the topography, the monorail and the unique city planning, I always manage to find something new in my visits.

In my most recent stop, I managed to find a coffee shop out of the bustle called Terra Cafe. Located in a giant warehouse-like structure with a huge parking lot, Terra boasts a large foot print complete with a giant patio. Inside the cafe is huge, with tons of tables and local charm.

As for coffee, they utilize local Quantum Bean Coffee. That afternoon, I ordered an espresso of the Entanglement blend and a drip of a Central/South American coffee (the barista kept referring to it by the farm or region, and I never figured out which exact coffee was represented). The espresso, pulled to a medium volume with brown crema, smacked of chocolate, blood orange, cream, graham cracker, butter pear and red lettuce, proving toothsome and flavorful. The drip coffee also made for a delicious brew, with pleasant notes of red apple, honey cake, almond croissant, whipped cream, apricot and a little jalapeƱo.

While my stop was brief, I enjoyed my beverages and had to make my way back into the city streets. If you're in Morgantown and looking for a great cup of coffee in a spacious watering hole, head over to Terra Cafe.
