I have come to relish the gradual discovery of the Lancaster area. Every time I visit I find something I've managed to overlook before, such as James Buchanan's Wheatland, a historical landmark to a dismal president. While I didn't really stop at the old mansion, it did afford me the opportunity to grab some great coffee at Copper Cup.

Having been to their Lititz location before, I was happy to finally have a good reason to visit there Lancaster shop. The day was beautiful and I definitely had coffee on my mind as I strode into the glass doors of their giant brick cafe. Inside the shop offers copious seating all arrayed in a chic interior full of sunshine and light woods.

As for coffee, they offer local Passenger Coffee, and going with the available options I selected an espresso and drip coffee of the Carmo blend. The espresso, pulled normale with brown crema, smacked of chocolate, caramel, apple, fig, brown sugar, black tea and a little broth, proving sweet and balanced. The drip similarly impressed, with notes of caramel, cola, cashew, cream, malt, ginger, pear, root beer and malt in a medium body.

After spending a bit of time savoring the experience, I had to take the remainder of my coffee and hit the road. Whether you are in Lititz or Lancaster, definitely stop by a Copper Cup location for some great coffee.

These wonderful folks made this visit possible in part. Make sure to check them out!
