Source Coffeehouse

After a gorgeous weekend relaxing in a New England cabin, the only thing left to round out the experience was a stop by a great coffee house. Fortunately, my path led me through Bridgeport directly past a coffeehouse I had been looking to try since their 2013 inception: Source Coffeehouse.

Located on a tree-lined boulevard of local businesses, Source stands out with its blue awning and patio doors. Inside, the shop offers plenty of seating amid a well-designed floor plan complete with church pews and a different color chairs.

As for coffee, Source sources excellent coffee from Passenger Coffee and different guest roasters (such as Neat and Brandywine). The day of my visit, I settled on an espresso of Stowaway and a pourover of a Passenger Burundi. The espresso, pulled short/medium with brown crema, blasted out notes of milk chocolate, blackberry, vanilla, almond and a little lime, proving handsomely sweet and bright. The pourover also made for a delicious brew, exploding with mango, cherry soda, light wheat, nectarine, carrot, sweet corn and hazelnut with a light body.

Polishing off my beverages, I headed out of Source quite content with this coffee bookend on a fantastic weekend. If you are anywhere near Bridgeport, certainly treat yourself to a visit to Source Coffeehouse ASAP.

These wonderful folks made this visit possible in part. Make sure to check them out!
