While wandering through Tucson on my last trip, I found myself in a business park looking for great coffee. While this location is no longer present (see the new storefront pictured from their website above), I found myself at the (old) roastery location for Yellow Brick Coffee.

Having heard great things of their coffee, I discussed with the barista at length my options, and finally settled upon an espresso of their Destino blend and a drip of a single origin Burundi. The espresso, pulled to a medium volume with brown crema, smacked of chocolate, raspberry, whole milk, passion fruit, caramel, mineral water and pecan, proving sweet and bright. The drip coffee also doled out a sweet treat, with notes of chocolate cherries, pomegranate and nougat. 

While I did not get a chance to stay long, I greatly enjoyed my beverages and time at Yellow Brick. I look forward to returning to Tucson to try out the current location. If you happen to be passing through or in Tucson, definitely give Yellow Brick a visit.
