Mr. Rabbit

Subject: Mr. Rabbit
Location visited: Philadelphia, PA
Rating: 6+ [see key]

There are few cities that I cherish as much as Philly. I love the history, the architecture, the food and some of the coffee. Like most cities, there's a lot of coffee shops in the city doing fancy milkshakes or over-roasted lattes in fancy structures, but the few shops doing great things make them shine the brighter.

One caffeinated lantern in the city of brotherly love is Mr. Rabbit. Situated in a lovely corner shop aglow in dim morning light, the warm lights draw one into the cozy interior with plenty of seating flanking the central counter.

As for coffee, they were serving up Elixr's Beekeeper, of which I ordered an espresso and a drip coffee. The espresso, pulled short/medium with brown crema, smacked of lemon, chocolate, grapefruit candy, croissant, cream and hibiscus, proving sweet and bright. The drip coffee also made for a great brew, with delightful notes of strawberry lemon candy, caramel, cream, blueberry, filo pastry and butter lettuce.

After spending some time with friends ingesting the coffee, the time came to head back to the street. If you happen to be in Philly, hop over to Mr. Rabbit for great coffee.
