Habit Coffee

Traveling through the streets of Victoria, the city offers a lot of sights and wonderful distractions. As I was wandering through the Chinatown neighborhood, I emerged from Fan Tan Alley and found myself hankering for a good coffee respite. Lo and behold, so stood a Habit Coffee location, offering a perfect respite for me and my party.

The cafe bore large front windows guarded by wood benches. Inside, the shop stands open and calm, with a beautiful aesthetic of brick walls, plants and sun light.

As for coffee, they were serving up Bows Coffee Roasters. That morning, I ordered up two different single origin Perus, one on espresso and one on drip. The espresso, pulled short/medium with light brown crema, smacked of vanilla, buttered cracker, chocolate ice cream, lemon cake and fig, proving sweet and toothsome. The drip coffee also made for an excellent brew, with vibrant notes of strawberry cheesecake, dates, gooseberry, hibiscus tea and caramel.

After recharging my batteries with good coffee in a pleasant shop, my gaggle moved on to see more of the city. But the next time I am in the area, I will make sure to check out a Habit Coffee location.
