Tucker

I greatly cherish periodically visiting the towns and cities situated on the Delaware River north of Trenton. With lovely whistle-stops like Frenchtown and Stockton as well as fun activities like tubing downriver, it's a scenic region with plenty of attractions.

Fortunately the area coffee scene is equally robust, full of quality shops worthy of such pleasant countryside. Even more so in the city of Easton, great coffee can be had in several spots. One of the newer shops to recently catch my attention was Tucker, an Aussie coffee shop located in an old silk mill.

Arriving on an overcast afternoon one prior Tuesday, Tucker gave off its own luminous cheer, with bold, bright colors nested amidst the exposed brick. All throughout, the interior boasts high ceilings, large windows and plenty of seating for visitors.

As for beans, they offer Partners Coffee out of Brooklyn. As an espresso-only operation, there was no drip coffee to choose, so I went with only a single origin Brazil for my doubleshot. Pulled short with brown crema, the infusion imparted lovely notes of chocolate, lemon, orange zest, tea biscuit, cream and a touch of malt.

After sitting for awhile, I sadly had to pull myself from this beautiful shop and head south towards blander lands. If you are ever in Easton, definitely make a stop at Tucker for great coffee in a gorgeous venue.

These wonderful folks made this visit possible in part. Make sure to check them out!
