8th and Roast

Subject: 8th and Roast

Great coffee can be found in many places in Nashville, but in my opinion, there seems to be plenty of room for more. While visiting the western portion of the city, I managed to visit a shop that's been on my list, a place called 8th and Roast.

The location I picked on Charlotte Avenue stood like a caffeinated beacon complete with a convenient parking lot. Inside, the space was open, airy and full of sunlight, a well-designed space with plenty of seating.

As for coffee that day, I decided upon an espresso of their Sunflower Espresso Blend and a single origin Colombian. The espresso, pulled short/medium with brown crema, smacked of chocolate, lime soda, peach, cane sugar and bib lettuce, proving sweet and vibrant. The drip coffee also made for an excellent infusion, with smooth notes of honey, almond milk, candied apple, milk and buttermilk biscuits.

All together, I had a splendid experience and was sad to leave. Thus, if you happen to be in Nashville, give 8th and Roast a try at one of their locations.
